Terskol and Cheget are some of the best freeriding places in Russia. During the last couple of years quite some investment into infrastructure has happened. A new cable car has been built up to the Mir station on Elbrus. This means the main reason why not to go there has almost diappeared. Morevover, quite some good hotels have stared operating. The best time to go is to choose a time outside of the Russian holidays which are the first 10 days in the New Year and also the Russian March the 8th and May holidays.
